Mechanical damage to cartilage is a likely cause of arthritis. As co-lead author, I simulated loading parameters in models that I created using Python scripting and Finite Element Analysis to understand the impact down to the cellular level of cartilage.

As lead author, I examined the impact of mechanical failure of human cartilage. Developing a robust Matlab data pipeline pipeline, I was able to quickly evaluate many data inputs to run statistics and report mechanical fatigue of human cartilage.
